CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Today’s We’re Open report takes us to a long running locally owned detail shop which is currently offering a very special service.

Ziebart's, a locally owned busines for many years, is located at 4535 Everhart near Staples. Now, they are doing something extra special for some very special people. Let me show you.

Owner Rick Saenz and his staff are doing their part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

They are sanitizing all first-responder vehicles absolutely free. It's a $59.95 value.

They are also offering this free service to all medical personal.

All you have to do is show your work ID and they will take care of you.

“We figured they needed someone to sanitize their vehicles," Ziebart manager Danny Chavez said. "No one really thinks about getting in and out of the vehicle all the time.

"So we are just trying to help out. We know cops, fire department and medical personnel. They are out there and we are trying to help them out.”

“Out in the field you can’t be too sure who you are dealing with," Corpus Christi Police Lt. Phillip Bintliff said. "Could be local or from out of town. With people being a symptomatic you don’t know if they have the virus. So any extra protection we can get from this type of sanitizing is very appreciative."

And to help everyone in the fight against COVID-19, Ziebart will include their 90-day germ defender free with the purchase of a full detail which right now is half price.
