AUSTIN, Texas — A third special session of the Texas legislature begins today.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced the session earlier this month.
This will be the fourth time Texas lawmakers have convened during 2021.
Items the governor wants to tackle during the upcoming session include:
- Redistricting
- Restrictions on transgender student-athletes
- Reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic.
