AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas House of Representatives has also passed legislation that would ban public camping across the state.

House Bill 1925 would create a Class C misdemeanor charge for people who knowingly camp in a public space.

It would also punish local governments who fail to enforce the law.

The bill is now waiting for final approval by the house.
