AUSTIN, Texas — A reminder from the state when it comes to your Texas State drivers’ license and ID cards.

The Department of Public Safety is saying the public waiver on expiration dates is just a few months away in April.

Gov. Abbott granted a waiver due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It applied to driver licenses, CDL’s, commercial learners permits, ID cards and election ID certificates that expired on or after March 13.

The waiver ends on April 14.
