The growing spread of COVID-19 has led to a state of disaster declaration across all counties in the state of Texas.

The declaration was issued as the coronavirus pandemic spreads to all of the state's big cities.

Gov. Greg Abbott made the announcement in Austin just moments ago.

Here's a look at some other major developments.

Cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Austin and San Antonio, bringing the state total to 39 confirmed cases.

No deaths have been reported.
