UPDATE: Amber Alert canceled after missing Pearland infant found safe

PEARLAND, Texas — UPDATE 9:54 a.m.: The Amber Alert for Jaivan Simpson has been canceled as the infant boy has been found safe.

Houston television state KPRC reports Jada Williams, the boy’s mother, was taken into custody by police and charged with a misdemeanor of making a terroristic threat.

Simpson was found safe, and was released to family members, police say.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 1-year-old infant boy in the Pearland area.

The Pearland Police Department is searching for Jaivan A’mere Simpson, black, male, 1 years old, 1’06”, 22 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white onesie with blue or black sweatpants.

Police are looking for Jada Jnae Williams, black, female, 22 years old, 5’5”, 123 lbs, black hair, brown eyes and wearing eyeglasses with black frames, shoulder length hair, tattoos on both arms, in connection with his abduction. She was last seen wearing a gray or black shirt with black bottoms or blue jeans.

The suspect is believed to be driving a silver 2017 Hyundai Elantra with a Texas license plate number of NVP8659.

The suspect was last heard from in Pearland, Texas.

Law enforcement officials believe this child to be in grave or immediate danger.
