Two people died when a single-engine plane crashed near Austin, Texas Sunday afternoon.
Officials say it happened just after 2:30 p.m. at the Shirley Williams Airport in Kingsland.
They say the S-7 courier caught fire upon crashing, but the cause of the crash is still unknown.
Witnesses reported, “It was like a big thump in the ground, and you could hear it, and then within a minute I saw a big black plume of smoke go up so I knew that it had gone down.”
The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to investigate.
