Whataburger and retired San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili are linked in the fabric of South Texas.
The burger chain provided Ginobili with a heartfelt goodbye after his Monday retirement announcement.
Whataburger’s social media team tweeted that Ginobili’s late heroics during his 16-season career with the Spurs was a reason for many “late-night celebratory Whataburger” treats.
The tweet included the outline of Ginobili’s jersey and his number 20 uniform number stenciled in the company’s orange and white striping. It was done with a Whataburger claim ticket as the background and the hashtag #GraciasManu for an ending.

It was a fitting tribute to the greatest Spurs’ sixth man of all time from one of the area’s top companies.
