CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx — First responders say it appears the search for two people last seen in the waters off Bob Hall Pier is a false alarm.
The coast guard and local first responders began searching the waters around Bob Hall Pier for a man and woman shortly after Friday afternoon at 1 p.m.
A witness called authorities after seeing the two out in the waters on a tube. They appeared to be stranded then disappeared.
But crews officially called off the search, saying they didn't find anyone in distress.
