Rise & Shine 10k/5k: Benefitting the only inclusion preschool in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Rise School of Corpus Christi is the only inclusion preschool in town.

In each classroom, 50% of the students have disabilities and 50% do not.

Giving students with disabilities the confidence to grow at their own pace, and showing typical students how to be compassionate towards each other despite having different abilities.

Rise offers therapy, and different communication learning techniques that all of the students can learn and benefit from.

The Rise School currently has 31 students enrolled.

All of the proceeds from the Rise & Shine 10k/5k will help open another classroom at the school, which will lead to more enrolled students.

The Rise & Shine 10k/5k/1k is open to everyone, with and without disabilities.It will take place Saturday at Waters Edge Park.

Warm up begins at 7:45am and the run/walk will start at 8am.
