Police are searching for two boys who were taken by their father, a non-registered sex offender, and have not been seen since October 8.

Maverick Ransom, 3, and his brother, Orion Ransom, 4, were last seen Oct. 8 when their father, Clarence Michael Ransom, picked them up from daycare in Las Cruces, N.M. Ransom and his estranged wife share custody, but the day he picked up the boys, he gave no one notice of his plans to take the boys away or travel somewhere.

Police believe Ransom may have gone to Ciudad Jarez, Mexico on that same day and then returned to the U.S. the day after. Whether he took the two boys with him and their location is unknown.

Clarence "Michael" Ransom, is described as five feet eleven inches tall, weighs 195 pounds and was last seen driving a silver 2013 Toyota camry with temporary tags.

His last known residence was an apartment located at 2250 E. Missouri Ave. in Las Cruces.

Maverick and Orion are both described as being about three feet six inches tall, and weigh about 30 pounds.

A nationwide arrest warrant was issued for Ransom. Charges include failure to register as a sex offender and non-compliance with the custody agreement.

Anyone with information on Maverick and Orion, or Clarence "Michael" Ransom, can call 9-1-1 or contact Las Cruces police at (575) 526-0795.
