CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A police dog in Salt Lake City who was killed on duty is being honored with a custom casket.
The dog, named Hondo, was killed last week while assisting the U.S. Marshal’s Office in apprehending a dangerous fugitive, according to Herriman City Police Department.

A public memorial service for Hondo will be held Saturday, Feb 22 at one of the local high schools in the area.
