Some Sesame Street characters stopped by National Public Radio to sing some songs for their Tiny Desk Concert series.

Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Rosita, Abby Cadabby, and Cookie Monster were accompanied by a three-piece backing band, as they sang classic Sesame Street songs like “The Sesame Street Theme (Sunny Days)” and a rendition of “People in Your Neighborhood” that mentioned some of NPR’s reporters.

The puppeteer behind the puppets was Matt Vogel, Sesame Street’s puppet captain and performer, and Bill Sherman directed the music.

NPR’s tiny desk concert series has featured legendary artists such as The Roots, Anderson Paak, and The Cranberries, but none of them have as many Grammys or Emmys as Sesame Street has. The show has 11 Grammys and 192 Emmys.
