Finally, a viral challenge that helps. People all over the world are using the hashtag #trashtag to post photos of trash bags filled with litter they have collected.

Although the original hashtag has been used since 2015 by UCO, a company that makes outdoor gear. The hashtag got a second wind this weekend on Instagram,Reddit, and Twitter with people finding areas with a lot of litter, cleaning up and sharing their photos online.
This challenge seems to hold more merit than previous internet challenges like the Harlem Shake, Mannequin Challenge, and the Water Bottle flip challenge.
