Police department ‘prohibits all crime’ during cold snap

One police department, in the middle of the extremely cold, dangerous weather, has “prohibited all crime” while temperatures continue to fall.

The post to Noblesville Police Department says “all crime and illegal activities in Noblesville and the surrounding areas will be prohibited until further notice.” Failure to comply will result in a fine or jail time, the post said. The post finished with the hashtag #LetsSeeIfThisReallyWorks.

Of course, the social media post is a way to make people think about law enforcement having to be out in the bitter cold when temperatures are falling to dangerous levels in the Midwest.

Over 75 million people in the United States will see temperatures below zero during the cold snap.

At least four deaths have been linked to the weather system.
