A Missouri motorcycle shop surprised the son of a fallen police officer by restoring his dad’s favorite bike.

Captain Dave Melton was killed in the line of duty two years ago.

He loved motorcycles and was good friends with the owners of this bike shop in Belton, Missouri.

On Wednesday, they surprised his son, David with this fully-restored motorcycle, complete with personal touches and tributes to the late Capt. Melton.

Kickstand Dickinson, with Hellraisers Fabrication & Cycles, said,”To be able to put that on there in a way that Davie will see that when he’s out riding the bike means a lot to us, hopefully as much as it is to him.”

David Melton, Capt. Dave Melton’s son, “This is the bike he’s always wanted, so it’s basically a tribute to him in that way already, but even more with everything that’s been done to it.”

David said this gesture really shows how people care about his dad and for law enforcement.
