CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx — People who drive down Morgan Avenue are pretty familiar with the conditions on that road.
It's one of the city's oldest streets and it's going to be getting a makeover.
Crews will begin construction in a couple of weeks.
They're re-doing the road from Ocean Drive to Crosstown Expressway.
That will include repaving the road and adding new sidewalks too.
There will also be some improvements to the underground utilities.
It's a project that's expected to last two years, and it's in an area that has several businesses nearby.
KRIS 6 NEWS spoke to some of those businesses about how construction will affect them.

The project is part of the $55 million dollar streets bond that voters approved in 2014.
That proposal targeted 12 of the worst streets that impact the most people in the city.
