A woman died Thursday night after being hit by a truck in Aransas Pass.
The Aransas Pass Police Department reported on its website that it responded to a call at 8 p.m. in which a Ford pickup truck had collided with a female pedestrian near 607 S. Commercial St., near the intersections of W. Greenwood Avenue and Harrison Boulevard.
First responders tried to resuscitate the woman, but the APPD reports her injuries were "too severe" and she died at the scene.
The victim's identification is being withheld until a death notification can be made. The APPD still was investigating the scene at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, and said the investigation is ongoing.
