CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The U.S. Navy's precision team the Blue Angels are coming back to Corpus Christi.
Lt. Julius Bratton, pilot #7 trained here at home. "If you would have told me 9 years ago as a 22 year old flight student flying out of Corpus Christi that I'd be right bacck in a blue and gold jet coordinating an air show and meeting with the leadership of Corpus Christi, I would have thought you were completely kidding me" he says.
Lt. Bratton came back today to announce that the Wings Over South Texas Air Show will now be part of Buc Days and the Buc Days Celebrations.
Wings Over South Texas will be May 1. 2020 and May 2, 2020 down at the bayfront and as part of all the great events Buc Days has to offer.
Corpus Christi City Manager Peter Zanoni says "We gave up a lot in 2020 but now with the vaccine and our continued prevention we are going to do much better in 2021 to include having fun at the Buc Days."
Again, Wings Over South Texas will now be part of the great tradition that is Buc Days.
Buc Days runs April 29-May 9th. Wings Over South Texas will be May 1 & May 2nd 2021.
