CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city temporarily restricted Gulf beach access at Whitecap Boulevard Thursday for beach maintenance work resulting from Hurricane Hanna damage.
It was closed for most of the day while crews removed storm debris and reshaped some parts of the beach damaged by Hanna's storm surge and heavy surf.
The beach maintenance required the use of heavy machinery on the beach to redistribute the sand moved by Hurricane Hanna to allow for future vehicular access.
