CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The holiday season is here, and just because things are a little different this year doesn’t mean the season still can’t be merry and bright!
Corpus Christi is home to several extravagant light shows and displays, each contributing a little bit of holiday cheer to each person that passes through.
Here’s a list of light shows and displays that are sure to put you in the holly jolly spirit for the whole month of December.
Candy Cane Lane
Schanen Estates: Donegal Drive, Wooldridge Road, McAlpin Drive, and Killamet Drive
Candy Cane Lane is a neighborhood where residents decorate their homes to welcome the holidays. Visitors are encouraged to drive or walk through the holiday wonderland of lights.
Peppermint Lane
Downtown Corpus Christi: Chaparral Street
Businesses are lit up in 1960s-style decorations, all while staying open late for shoppers, providing treats, music, and more.
Mr. Bill's Wonderland
3242 Hampton St.
Bill Cox has been providing his holiday light display for residents in the city for the past 20 years. His wonderland includes choirs, a Christmas train, giant stuffed toys, a Nativity scene, and Santa Claus.
Mazoch Family Christmas Display
North Padre Island: 15301 Isabella Court
This display was featured on ABC’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight” in 2015. It brings the traditional holiday displays we love with an island-style twist.
Life-Size Nativity Scene
4826 Willowbrook Drive
The Bocanegra family has brought out this display for 20 years. It includes life-like animals and free popcorn every night.
Santa's Mailbox
1026 Belmeade Drive
Stick your letter into the giant red mailbox while snow falls and Christmas music plays. The last day to mail your letter and get a reply from Santa is Dec. 24.
Garcia Holiday Light Show
3425 Austin St.
Over 68,000 lights synchronized to holiday music on 100.7 FM. Since 2017, Gabriel Garcia has brought his light display out for residents all over the Coastal Bend to enjoy.
Redden Family Christmas
6210 Lourdes St.
You wouldn’t be able to tell this is Gary Redden’s first time using a light pixel holiday display. With 10,000 lights custom-built and programmed to 27 songs, this holiday display is something you want to add to your holiday lights tour.
