CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There was a long line of people outside Prescott Meat Market on Corpus Christi's West Side on Monday afternoon as the owners decided to give away free 6-lbs. bags of chicken.
The owners of the Prescott-Street business said it's been a tough year for everyone, especially their customers, so they they decided to give a little something back to them as a continuation of an annual tradition at Prescott Meat Market.
"Every year we have something going for our loyal customers, every year we've got something different," said Annie Gonzales.
This year, it was 1,000 bags of chicken. The giveaway was set to last four hours or until the bags of chicken ran out.
