CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Strong winds and heavy rain moved through the Coastal Bend on Wednesday afternoon, uprooting trees in the area.
A KRIS 6 News crew captured several images of an uprooted tree laying on power lines outside of a Flour Bluff resident's home.
According to AEP's website, power was knocked out around 2 p.m. for homeowners and businesses near Waldron Road and Don Patricio Road.
During the writing of this article, more than 100 customers are without power in that area. The estimated restoration time is 6 p.m.
