A viral video of a toddler being assaulted by a woman that made its way around the Internet last week seems to have originated in Mexico.
Corpus Christi Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Michael Pena updated the station's blotter page Monday morning, saying the incident apparently occured in the state of Nuevo Leon in Mexico.
He said the department also received information that the assault may have happened more than a year ago.
CCPD, nevertheless, is trying to pinpoint the exact location in which it happened so that Mexico's Child Protective Services counterpart can be informed and investigate.
