CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There's a road closure that will alter traffic patterns today in Corpus Christi.
The Viola Avenue and Ayers Street intersection will be closed on Tuesday. It's part of the Ayers Street Pedestrian Improvement Project.
Drivers are asked to use Blundell Drive, Dodd Drive and Florence Street as alternative routes to access Viola Avenue.
This road closure is expected to last a week.
The Ayers Street Improvement Project covers Ayers from SPID to Gollihar.
The project will add a fifth turning lane, ADA compliant ramps and improved storm drains and utitlities.
The complete project is expected to be complete by April.
