CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Former Corpus Christi City Council member and Nueces County Commissioner Carolyn Vaughn has announced she's running for a state representative seat.
Vaughn says she'll run for the District 34 seat currently occupied by Abel Herrero.
She hopes the voters will come out and support her for the election that takes place next year.
