CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — All of their animals are fine. But the Texas State Aquarium will remain closed until Tuesday after significant storm damage, associated debris and extensive damage caused by Hurricane Hanna on Saturday.

The facility is scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

As the storm waters began to recede earlier this morning, Aquarium staff were able to assess conditions.

The facility's main buildings did not suffer significant damage. But the storm did leave behind a large amount of debris.

The aquarium's staff began work on a cleanup on Sunday as parts of North Beach remain flooded. Access to the TSA is limited.
