CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Several hundred people woke up in the middle of the night without power after a driver crashed into a utility pole on the city's southside.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday in the 4700 block of Everhart Road near the Post Office.
Police say the driver of a white truck lost control and crashed into the pole. The truck also rolled over.
Police closed off Everhart Road between McArdle and Lamont Street as AEP crews worked overnight to restore the power.
It's unclear if the driver was hurt.
