CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A tribute show will be held Sunday for a local magician who was killed in a traffic accident last month.
Orlando Valdez went by the stage name Val Dino.
He performed magic shows for benefits and non-profits all over the community.
He was also known for his balloon art.
The tribute show is being organized by other area magicians including former partner Jason Lawrence.
“I want people to know that he wasn't just a magician,” Lawrence said. “He wasn't just a guy, he was someone that was very special to us. And I mean there's a lot of things we can do but this is our way of being able to say, remember Val Dino.”
This magic show is happening at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Aurora Arts Theatre, 5635 Everhart.
Donations will be accepted with proceeds going to Val Dino's family.
