An internet outage is impacting people in Aransas Pass, Ingleside, and Gregory.

Aransas Pass Police say a fiber optic line was cut.

On their Facebook page, Aransas Pass Police posted, “Due to an area-wide outage, phone lines are down at Aransas Pass Police Department. For emergencies and matters that require an immediate response, please call (361) 717-1254 or (361) 717-1264. Aransas Pass Police say their 9-1-1 line is still working."

Meanwhile, in Ingleside, police confirmed they are also impacted by the outage as well.

In Gregory, folks at city hall said they were impacted at city hall for about 20 minutes. They were able to get their IT worker to fix the problem.

We’re told the main internet provider for the three areas is Sparklight. KRIS 6 News has reached out to Sparklight regarding the outage, we have not heard back.
