The city offers a pickle ball program, 18+ invited

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Our Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is offering the Pickleball program this fall.

Participants must be 18 and up. The program is also co-ed.

Excluding holidays, games are scheduled for Mondays through Thursdays through the last day of 2019. They will start at 9 am and go until 1 pm at the Ben Garza Gym, 1815 Howard Street.

Pickleball is like a bunch of sports had a baby together. According to the USA Pickleball Association, Pickleball is"A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Played as doubles or singles."

If you want to get in on the Pickleball action you can register online at http://register.ccparkandrec.comor by calling 361-826-3588. It only costs $25 dollars a month or a $3 drop in fee.
