AUSTIN, Texas — In honor of Veterans Day, fees at all state parks will be waived on Sunday.
Daily entrance fees will be waived for all day use on Sunday.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as well as Texas State Parks say it's their way of honoring both active and retired military.
And what better way to do that than by spending a day at a state park?
Anyone planning a trip this weekend should keep in mind that parks are operating at a limited capacity because of the pandemic. So reserving a day pass in advance is highly recommended since some parks are expected to reach their capacity limit.
