CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There’s still no word on what caused yesterday's pipeline fire near Buddy Lawrence and Interstate 37.
A natural gas leak ignited and started this huge fire that led to 'shelter in place' orders for nearby residents and schools.
No one was hurt, but part of I-37 was closed for several hours.
The fire also gutted a nearby building.
And today, Corpus Christi Fire Chief Robert Rocha told us the investigation into this fire will be handled by the Texas Railroad Commission.
