According to a press release, "El Secreto De Selena," is a brand new TV mini-series that will premiere on Telemundo in late August.
The show, adapted from a book written by Maria Celeste Arraras, will take a look at the the tragic murder of Selena by her fan club president, Yolanda Saldivar.
"El Secreto de Selena" evolves around three main characters: Selena (Maya Zapata), who gives everything to achieve success; Yolanda (Damayanti Quintanar), who has a fixation with her idol; and Maria Celeste (Sofia Lama), the journalist who had exclusive access to those involved in the story and led an extensive investigation surrounding the assassination." a press release says.
The Queen of Cumbia's mysterious death was a shock to our community and the world in 1995.
The air date and time is Sunday, August 25 at 9 pm Central.
The series will be in Spanish with English subtitles.
