CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper is recovering after a suspected drunk driver slammed head-on into his patrol vehicle.
The crash happened 11:26 pm Tuesday northbound of Interstate 37, near Labonte Park.
According to DPS PIO Sgt. Nathan Brandley, 26-year old Donald Keone Emeliano was driving the wrong way on northbound I37 late last night when he crashed.
Brandley said Emeliano hit one DPS trooper's patrol unit and another car.
The trooper and the driver of the car were both okay and not injured.
Emeliano was charged for drunk driving.
