BEEVILLE, Texas — The Bee Co. Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a man caught on surveillance video they believe broke into two storage units at a complex at the west end of Beeville.

Investigator Steve Linam told KRIS 6 News that $2,000 worth of property was taken from the two storage units. Someone noticed the break-ins Friday, but Linam didn't say what day the crimes actually occurred.

Linam had some tips for people who are considering getting a storage unit. He advised using a disc-style lock, and when it comes to choosing a complex, Linam said to go with one that has 24-hour video surveillance.

If it's unclear whether or not that's the case at a particular complex, Linam urges you to ask the manager as many questions as it takes to feel secure.

If you recognize the man in the surveillance-video image, you could be receive a reward if you notify police.

Call either of the following two agencies: the Bee Co. Sheriff's Office at 361-362-3221 or Coastal Bend Crimestoppers at 361-362-0206.
