CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A settlement has been reach in a lawsuit filed by the widow of Corpus Christi police officer Alan McCollum, who was killed in January during a traffic stop on SPID.

McCollum had pulled over a man identified as Christopher Litke for speeding when he was hit by suspected drunk driver Brandon Portillo.

In March, Mccollum's widow sued Litke, Portillo and Wonders Bar.

Police found Portillo may have been overserved alcohol there before the crash.

McCollum’s widow was seeking $10 million, but the terms of the settlement reached yesterday are being kept confidential.
