San Patricio County sheriff's deputies arrested a sex offender Saturday who had been at-large and sought for failure to register as a sex offender for four years.
Deputies went to a location on County Road 2369 near St. Paul where 38-year-old Daniel Rosenbaum reportedly had been staying with 43-year-old Michelle Perez. They said he answered the door and immediately shut it again when he realized who was on the other side, and that he and Perez refused to open the door again. Deputies said Rosenbaum then fled through a back door.
Perez was arrested for hindering apprehension, a felony, after realizing she enabled Rosenbauk to get dressed and escape.
Rosenbaum was later caught by deputies in the area of County Road 600 lying in tall grass.
