CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Start your Halloween morning at “Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront” Haunted Bay 5K along the bayfront this Saturday, October 31, 2020.
The 5K starts at 7:30 a.m. and is limited to 300 participants. All fitness activities and 5K participants will follow COVID-19 safety guidelines. Facial coverings are recommended for ages 10 and older. Participants will have their temperature checked at sign-in.
The Haunted Bay 5K (Walk/Run) features a costume contest, games, and drawing for gift certificates and other great prizes.
Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront continues to offer free fitness activities for all ages and skill levels. Our community partner, H-E-B is providing fruit and water for all participants.
The FITNESS LANE is open for people to “get moving” in a safe, vehicle-free environment with no overcrowding of the sidewalks. No registration is required. Walk, jog, run, or bike in a designated 1.25-mile fitness lane from Cole Park to Lawrence Street!
In coordination with Victor Betancourt of VFit Productions and the City’s Park and Recreation Department, the City will offer “Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront” exercise and wellness events for ages 8 and older, of all abilities and skill levels, on Saturdays from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. at The Water’s Edge, 402 S. Shoreline Blvd. Check-In. HIIT Camp, Zumba and Yoga will be held at the Islanders Pavilion next to the playground. Class schedule available online.
Weekly Online Registration for fitness classes and 5K at www.cctexas.com/safefunfit [cctexas.com]. Class sessions are limited to 30 participants per class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and water, as appropriate, for their workout.
