CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — UPDATE (3:24 p.m.): Everhart Road is now open to thru traffic from Holly Road to Corona Drive.
ORIGINAL: The area of Everhart Road from Bonner Drive to Cain Drive has been closed to traffic.
According to a press release from the city, an 8-inch gas line was ruptured Friday morning as crews were working on the Everhart Road Project.
If you're driving from Holly and Everhart to Everhart and SPID, they are detouring traffic on Cain Drive.
The repair is expected to take several hours.
The city will announce when the roads are open again.
