High winds spread fire at Jacoby/I-35 bypass

UPDATE:
Officials said the fire at Jacoby and Bypass 35 started a little after 10 a.m. in a mobile home in Aransas County. The owners were not home at the time the fire started. The windy conditions caused it to spread onto the grass, and it took over an hour to put the fire out. No injuries have been reported.

The incident is under investigation.

Members of the Rockport Volunteer Fire Department are battling a fire at Jacoby and Bypass 35.

These first responders are advising those to use extreme caution in the area and to watch for emergency vehicles and personnel in the area.

Among the departments who are fighting the fire include Fulton Fire and Rescue, the Ingleside Fire Department, Aransas Pass Fire Department, Bayside Fire Department, Gregory Volunteer Fire Department and the Portland Fire Department.
