ROCKPORT, Texas — A house was destroyed by a fire over the weekend.

A fire broke out around 1 a.m. Saturday inside a home along N. Fuqua Street in Rockport, Texas.

According to firefighters, police officers arrived at the fire first and determined from bystanders the building had been vacated.

When they got there, several firefighters made their way into the building and extinguished the blaze quickly.

But due to the conditions of the fire, firefighters remained at the scene for nearly three hours to overhaul the structure. Cold weather and live electric lines on the ground complicated the night.

Luckily, firefighters added, no one was injured.
