COLLEGE STATION — A high-ranking Robstown city official is out on bond after being arrested on suspicion of driving drunk in November in College Station.

According to the College Station Police Department, an officer arrested Robstown City Manager Herman Rodriguez, 43, on D.W.I. charges on November 17, 2018.

"It was a call from a citizen in reference to a vehicle driving erratically and our officers located him in that vehicle," Lt. Craig Anderson said.

Rodriguez was arrested at 2:20 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and having an open alcohol container.

He was released on a $3,000 surety bond later that day.

The arrest was brought to KRIS 6 News attention this afternoon after someone sent the newsroom a link to the website rapsheets.org that contained Rodriguez' mugshot.

KRIS 6 News contacted Robstown City Hall but were told Rodriguez is out of the office and attending an out of town conference.
