Road closures announced for next week's State Highway 358 ramp reversal project

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As part of the SH 358 (South Padre Island Drive) ramp reversal project, these closures are scheduled for next week:

SH 358 Ramp and Turnaround Closures

  • Sunday through Friday, Oct. 4, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly: The eastbound exit ramp to Kostoryz Road will be closed for retaining wall construction. Drivers wishing to access Kostoryz should take the next exit to Weber Road, use the turnaround, and take the westbound frontage road back to Kostoryz.
  • 9 p.m. Sunday through 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4: The SH 358 eastbound-to-westbound and westbound-to-eastbound frontage road turnarounds at Kostoryz and Carroll Lane will be closed for overpass widening work. Drivers may instead make left turns at these intersections, which will remain open.

Eastbound and Westbound Frontage Road Closures

  • 9 p.m. Sunday through 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4: One eastbound SH 358 frontage road lane will be closed in various locations between Kostoryz and Airline Road. Driveway access to all businesses and properties will remain open at all times.
  • 9 p.m. Sunday through 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4: One westbound SH 358 frontage road lane will be closed between Weber Road and Carroll Lane for the installation of overhead signs. Driveway access to all businesses and properties will remain open at all times.

All work is weather permitting.
