CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Corpus Christi finished demolition of the pedestal for a helicopter near the Water's Edge playground.
Crews tore down the cement pedestal and pad that formerly held up a helicopter monument that served as a memorial to members of the United Armed Forces who served in Vietnam.
The improvements will consist of interactive outdoor musical instruments to be installed to enhance the new playground area.
The improvements will be completed for residents and visitors to enjoy during the upcoming summer season.
