CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales will host a countywide town hall meeting tomorrow evening.
It's from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development on Staples Street across from Ray High School.
Canales says it'll be a good opportunity for folks to see what's in the proposed budget for the new fiscal year and to ask questions about spending priorities.
"This is an opportunity for me as an ambassador for the commissioner's court to share our proposed budget plan," Canales said, "to talk about some of the services that we spend the taxpayers money on.. and why it's valuable."
Canales says the biggest change in this year's proposed budget is a focus on law enforcement and public safety. Other priorities include taking care of county emplyees and making improvements to the county infrastructure.
