PREMONT, Texas — According to Premont ISD Superintendent of Schools Steve VanMatre, out of an abundance of caution Premont ISD will transition to remote instruction for all students effective immediately.

The news was posted on Premont ISD's Facebook page Thursday night.

The post states, "The District has received notification of two students at PECA and three at PCHS testing positive for COVID-19. Students and staff members who have been in close contact with these students will receive a phone call from your school."

Premont ISD stated COVID-19 testing will be made available to all Premont students on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the CASE Center.

The post concluded students will return for in-person instruction after the holidays on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
