CORPUS CHRISTI, texas — 8-month old Axton Worth is spending his very first Christmas at Driscoll Children's Hospital.
Born seven weeks early, little Axton has undergone several surgeries in his young life.
His mom brought him to Driscoll Children's Hospital all the way from Honolulu, HI back in October.
She's from Corpus Christi and her family still lives here.
Santa and various elves have visited Axton during his stay in the NICU.

Axton's mom is hopeful he'll be able to leave the hospital in a couple of months in time to celebrate his first birthday.
