CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — UPDATE: The area has been cleared shortly after 9 a.m., witnesses said.
Corpus Christi police are currently working what they are terming a "major crash" in the 5100 block of Old Brownsville Road.
Police report the northbound lane is currently closed to traffic.
They advise avoiding the area if possible.
