CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police continue their search for a man who fired a gun at an apartment complex.

That man was said to be in some kind of fight with his ex-girlfriend on Sunday inside an apartment on the 5700 block of Wooldridge.

According to police, he walked outside at some point and fired several shots.

The bullets hit several buildings.

“Shooting a gun in a residential area where people live, just like this incident here, people that had nothing to do with the disturbance were victimized by rounds hitting their apartment,” Corpus Christi police Lt. Braden Tackett said. “So it is very dangerous to shoot off rounds in a residential area.”

Police are still looking for the shooter.

When they find the suspect, he will likely be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct.
